Meet Mikaela
With a lifelong passion for creativity and self-expression, I bring both artistry and heart into every space and design I create. At 46, I am proud to live authentically as a transwoman, embracing every chapter of my journey with confidence, warmth, and purpose.
Creativity has always been at the center of who I am. From an early age, I found joy in artistic expression—whether through drawing, painting, sculpting, or photography. In high school, I advanced through Art Honors IV, became a member of the National Art Honor Society for four years, and was honored to serve as its president during my senior year. Over the years, I’ve explored a wide range of mediums including pen and ink, watercolor, acrylic, pottery, and sketching, each shaping my artistic voice.
My creative journey also extends into performance. I spent seven years in theatre and a year in improv, where I developed a deep love for storytelling, musicals, and connecting with people through expression. Music of all eras—from the 1940s to today—continues to inspire my work and fuel my imagination. At heart, I’ve always felt like a hidden entertainer, bringing energy, personality, and emotion into everything I do.
About a decade ago, I discovered digital art and began teaching myself, later refining my skills through workshops. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to receive consistent recognition for my natural eye and artistic intuition—something I’ve worked hard to nurture and grow.
Most recently, my experience working in a furniture store has unlocked a new creative passion: interior design. Through hands-on experience with fabrics, furniture, and spatial styling, I discovered a natural talent for bringing environments together in a way that feels both intentional and inspiring.
Beyond the work itself, what truly drives me is people. I have a deep passion for customer service and find my greatest fulfillment in helping others bring their visions to life. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the joy a thoughtfully designed space or creative project can bring into someone’s life.
Outside of my work, I’m a proud Virgo (born September 1979), a lifelong gamer girl since the age of five, an enormous geek and nerd on all facets, and someone who embraces both creativity and curiosity in all forms.
And at the end of the day, I go home to my my incredible wife—my greatest supporter and my heart. We met just three years ago, and from that very first day, it felt like we had found and saved each other. Within a year, we knew without hesitation that what we had was something rare and pure, and we built our life together on that truth. Our bond only grows stronger with each passing day. She is my world, my foundation, and the unwavering force behind everything I do. She believes in me endlessly, celebrates my passion, and finds joy in seeing me bring creativity to life—and that kind of love fuels everything I create. 💫 Alongside her is my irreplaceable 16-year-old cat—my little soulmate—who reminds me daily that love, comfort, and personality are what truly make a space feel complete
